Schalke 04 have snapped up Milan's Dutch forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, according to coach Felix Magath, who spoke to Bild.
Despite rumours of a move all summer, Huntelaar had proclaimed his desire to stay in Milan but following the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and the rumoured arrival of Robinho, Huntelaar has decided to go elsewhere for regular football.
The forward told his own website, "It is true I never wanted to leave Milan but that changed when Ibrahimovic came," said Huntelaar.
He follows former team-mates Christophe Metzedler Raul, the strikers linked up at Real Madrid, and will now do the same in the Bundesliga.
"Negotiations were tougher than expected. I am happy to have Klaas-Jan. He will help us," Magath explained.
