
Argentinian midfielder Fernando Belluschi has joined FC Porto in a €5m switch from Olympiacos CFP as the Portuguese champions prepare for the expected departures of his countrymen Lucho and Lisandro.
'Joy' The 25-year-old Belluschi has penned a four-year deal at Porto, who will own 50 per cent of the player's rights and have inserted a €30m release clause into his contract. "It's great to join a club with so much history," said Belluschi. "I want to win many titles here and bring a lot of joy to the people. I hope we'll have a great Champions League." Belluschi scored six goals in 36 Greek top-flight matches after moving to Olympiacos in a €6.5m transfer from CA River Plate in January 2008.
Departures Porto, who will enter the UEFA Champions League in the group stage, also confirmed that they had reached an "initial agreement" to sell striker Lisandro to Olympique Lyonnais for €24m. Lucho, meanwhile, is on the verge of finalising a move to another French club, Olympique de Marseille, for a reported initial fee of €18m.
