
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp accused referee Steve Tanner of not being good enough for the Premier League after his side's 2-0 defeat at West Brom.
Redknapp had no complaints with the dismissal of defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto but believes West Brom's first goal should have been disallowed.
"I never complain about referees - I haven't done that for years but this guy was scary," said Redknapp.
"He's a poor referee and I've seen him make a mess of so many games." {{
Redknapp was particularly aggrieved that Tanner allowed West Brom's opener - when Michael Dawson complained he had been pushed in the back by scorer Roman Bednar.

"Darren Bent chased a ball down and the big centre-half clattered him and the referee gives a throw-in.
"Michael Dawson gets pushed in the back for the goal and he doesn't see it. Everyone saw he had been pushed but the referee."{{
